This time next week, teams will be sweeping the loose lead from the table tops and cracking the toads down the hole. Are you having your final practice this evening?
There's a few early matches already being organised for tonight, due to availability of teams during October.
The League tables are ready to be filled out by the end of next week.
We are also negotiating with the Sussex Express to have a monthly update report and league tables printed.
Also aware that The Rammit Inn were looking for a 5th player to join their squad. Not certain if they have managed to attract a new signing.

And we want to hear from anyone who knows where there's a TOAD TABLE, yet there's no team playing. The aim is to get as much cooperation from Pubs that could host the neutral venue games for Div 1 and Div 2.

20 Teams - 3 Divisions - New Challenges
The news has been released this evening that there's to be 3 Divisions for the new 2013-14 season.
With the introduction of 2 new teams (The Swanborough Toad Club (Abergavenny Arms) and The Stand Up Comics (Stand Up Inn)) replacing Laughing Fish B and The Bucks Inn the League was left with the same number of teams.
Whilst heeding the requests for a shorter season it was decided to form 3 divisions and add a refreshing and challenging twist for Divisions 1 & 2 by arranging not only Home and Away matches but a third round of matches at neutral venues. Division 3 will have 8 teams.
The 3 divisions will comprise of the following teams:
Div1 Rammit In, DCC, Chalk Pit, Long Man Toaders, Laughing Fish, Elephant.
Div2 Horny Lodgers, Laughing Toads, Brewers Arms (ex Sweeny Toads), HMI,
Trevor Arms, Snowdrop.
Div3 Rodmell (ex Team Abergavenny), A Bunch of Girls (ex Nellies), Volunteer, Lindfield Lobbers,
Strugglers (ex Smugglers), ASBO, Stand-up Comics (Lindfield), Swanborough Toad
Club (Abergavenny).
the season will map out as described in the table below....
Its a radical change to the usual format, especially as it will provide options about neutral venues, where teams will be encouraged to find other non-league venues where there are tables, which will help promote the game and encourage new teams to join the league the following season.

AGM meeting - summary
The full committee, chaired by John Wardle, listened to the issues of last year's season which were refreshingly debated by a full house at the Trevor Arms last night. They concluded with several points of clarification within rules and regulations in addition to Dave Rannies repeated pleas for improved communication regarding results, cancelled and re-arranged matches.
The main aim now is for as many teams to register in the next 7 days in the hope that there are enough to form 3 divisions and create a shortened season. After last night, 14 teams registered.
All registered teams will be registered on this blog page and receive alerts whenever new information is posted.
More updates will follow during the next week.
