On the final stretch

Its starting to feel like a long season and last October seems like a long time ago when we started on what was to become a season of much high scores, surprising outcomes and some new players and venues which was to start raising everybody's game.

And with a fair number of catch up games yet to be played it could be a busy May with 2 Bank Holiday Mondays before we all gather at the Abergavenny Arms in Rodmell for finals night.
No doubt there'll be a request for who's coming to that event from John W shortly... there will be catering provided.

And the Eights contest continues to be very tight with Tim (DCC) leading Div 1 with 8 x eights and Jake (T Abergavenny) Paul (HMI) and Wayne (T Abergavenny) all with 5 x eights in Div 2.

Don't forget to put your team vote for best away catering venue when you send in your final match result.

And those who were at Lewes Town Hall to witness the Toad's World Championships last Wednesday (organised by the Lewes Lions) would have seen some astounding toad throwing from The Azurians who just nipped victory from The Croakers.
